Caring for gray or white hair

  • Created

For the special care of white or grey hair, Chaz generally recommends using the Tea Tree Cleansing Conditioner. Tea tree oil is naturally colorless and tends to work better with very light or grey hair keeping it healthy, beautiful and vibrant.

However, you can also use any of the other formulas, but if you are having trouble with or trying to prevent yellowing from the essential oils, we also have the Bella Spirit Toning Cleansing Conditioner, which is designed to be used alongside any of the other cleansing conditioners. This formula is our take on a "purple" cleanser and is great for getting rid of any yellowing or brassiness, making your hair, regardless of the color (natural or dyed), look more vibrant. It will not change your hair color, just enhance it.

We recommend using the regular cleansing conditioner of your choice for your first cleanse, then the Indigo for your second cleanse, leaving it on for desired amount of time (usually around 5-10 minutes at first. The longer you leave it on, the more enhancement you'll see) and then rinsing thoroughly. You will then use the regular cleansing conditioner for your leave-in. Do not use the Indigo as a leave-in conditioner, as it is designed to be rinsed out.
